Piedmont Youth Soccer League
Travel Soccer 
Registration and tryouts for the 2025 PYSL Fall Travel season will be Sunday, May 4, beginning at 3 p.m. at the Smith River Sports Complex.
- Boys and girls born from 2011 - 2015 will tryout from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Boys and girls born from 2007 - 2010 will tryout from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Players must register online at www.PYSLsoccer.net prior to attending tryouts. Tryout fee is $25 and will be used towards the team fee if roster spot is accepted following tryouts.
Teams begin practice in August with games scheduled to begin in September. Season will conclude in early November. Teams will participate in Virginia Premier League - West divisions. Opposing clubs include Roanoke, Christiansburg, Salem, Danville, Blacksburg, Lynchburg, Harrisonburg and Charlottesville.

Academy Soccer 
Tryouts for the 2025 Fall Academy season will be Sunday, May 4, beginning at 3 p.m. at the Smith River Sports Complex.
Evaluation is open to all boys and girls born from 2016 - 2018. Experience at the recreation level is preferred. Academy is for kids that are looking for a little higher competition level from rec soccer while also wanting to develop as a player through higher level training. Academy is the pathway to joining the travel program once at the U11 age.
Academy team will play other U8, U9 and U10 teams from regionally located clubs in Roanoke, Christiansburg, Blacksburg, Lynchburg, Salem, Danville and Greensboro. Games are on Saturdays and most will include more than one match due to the travel.

Recreation Soccer
Registration is now closed for the 2025 PYSL Spring Rec Season.
Please check back in July for the opening of the 2025 PYSL Fall Rec season registration.
Registrations can be completed online at PYSLsoccer.net or in-person by visiting the SRSC Registration Office. The registration fee is $65 for the Tiny Canes program and $80 for U6 and up.
